Support the cause: Pet lovers centre react positively

Somewhere in facebook, i have been approach by some asking for me to vote for them, their pets in several competitions arrange by Pet Shop via FB.

I have laughed to myself saying "i am gonna supports this kind of things?"..Eventually , i would but have to see first if those pet shop have low or high standard of selling animals that we buy and bring home and call a pet, a companion.

Say,

They, the pet shop nowadays really onto online stuff in order to promoting their product and stores.Some of them , in my own words are lacks in ability onto serving/selling exotic animals.

I won't go far as it would cause anger to them

More or less, i found ways and guts( yelah tu) to point out most basic thing about sugar gliders in one of major local pet shop in town, via their fagepage, of course.

Kudos to all of friends from around the Malaysia that support the cause and my highest thankful to Pet Lover Centre in their way to react positively upon my wall post there.

The conditions for sugar gliders/joeys that put on sale on their outlets now upgrading to 2.5 cages..Well , that is much far from the minimum requirements but this just a start for a great 'awareness program'.

To tell you the story shorts, i cry myself when i went back to two of their outlets (inside AEON bukit tinggi and Sunway Pyramid) when found those joey glide and jumping freely inside their 2.5feet cages.There's also a small pouch for them to sleep and keep warm.

We don't need to start a war among the ethics sugar glider slaves with local pet shop.But along the way, we should do more communications and raise the issues smartly.

The era of going to the pet store and bang, complained to their salesperson isn't going well.I guess.

What we can do is now, is write to them.Email them nicely or gather small and good words to their Facebook fanpage.No need to be harsh cause we do, in some way around need each others.

Local pets store needs people/exotic owners to come front to promote and teach community about life,essential stuff on exotic pets.

In the other hand, we as exotic pets owner need local pet store in order to get/buy stuff or suitable foods for our pets.Buying online is some how risky, right?

We need to improvise thing such cage area, foods, surroundings at the local pet shop.I hope little much we done here will cause big action and promote good etiquette among traders/pet shop/breeders.
